Not far from Rochefort-en-Terre on a Natura 2000 site.

The Manoir du Vau d’Arz, not far from Rochefort-en-Terre, voted Favourite Village of the French, is set in the Domaine du Vau d’Arz park, a Natura 2000 classified fauna and flora protection area where the Arz river flows.

Time suspended in Brittany

When you come to the Manoir du Vau d’Arz, you get the unique experience of Celtic immersion in a protected and authentic environment on the legendary land of a seigniorial estate from the 16th century.

Here you can come as a couple, or with family or friends, for enjoyable moments in Brittany’s countryside never far from the sea. Vannes, the Golf of Morbihan and its beaches are just 30 minutes away.

This generous estate offers 2 large B&B rooms located in the square tower of the Manor and 4 duplex gites overlooking the swimming pool.

We take great care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our guests. All our king size beds (180×200) are equipped with Made in France bed bases and mattresses recommended by the French association of sports physiotherapists.

About us

Our strong attachment to Brittany goes beyond our birthplace and the towns in which we grew up (Quimper and Rennes). Our experiences abroad have heightened our sense of belonging to a region and a culture that’s all about sharing.

The acquisition of the Manoir du Vau d’Arz, an authentic manor house with a rich history in Brittany, was an obvious choice for us, as it gives us the opportunity to share our love of Brittany with our visitors.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Your testimonials

This place is a gem . A wonderful retreat in Brittany but close to town, Rochefort en Terre. The Manoir is beautiful. Sophie and Dominique were extremely helpful and welcoming booking restaurants and advising on places to visit. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious and served outside in the garden. The rooms are stylishly furnished and supplied with high quality linens . An ideal place to rest on a journey from the Roscoff ferry. We shall be back.

We stayed in a tower room for 3 nights & we would have loved to stay longer. The Manoir is gorgeous, facilities great & the decoration & attention to detail & calm just what we were looking for. The pool was beautiful & warm & a good size for proper swimming.
Sophie & Dominic are lovely & the perfect hosts. Breakfast was a delight with tasty home made jams & the perfect outdoor setting. A 5minute drive away there is plenty of very good restaurant choices so ideal. Thank you we will be back to stay.

We traveled in Normandy and Brittany, stayed in several houses, but never in a place like Sophie and Dominique's house. Beyond the fact that the house is located in an amazing place, the house is renovated, decorated with excellent taste, spacious rooms with full of light and air. Pool and areas around the house are amazing. But this is nothing compared to the hosts themselves, who are a lovely couple, born to host and give a feeling of family and not occasional guests. Highly recommend, I'm sure I'll go back there not for two days but at least for a week (there's a lot to see around). And in one word - magic!
